Operator
Interface
Besides the typical GUI data
display and operator interface screens, the ComETS test
system has many utilities the operator can use
to monitor the test sequence, view progress and
error logs, plot real time and post event data,
etc.
ComETS has a utility to allow the system administrator
to control the Operator login names, passwords and access levels.
There are access levels for:
- Administrator
- Create Accounts
- Set access levels
- Set passwords
- Designer
- Create data displays
- Product option lists
- Maintenance
- Engine Test
- Run a test
- Exit (allow exit)
- Manual Mode (allow
Manual Mode access)
- Set Outputs (allow
operator to affect output pre-setup in
the Data Display)
Operator and User Login Security
- A default "startup login" can be configured to
allow a specific level of access at startup.
- Example - Setting the startup login to admin
effectively removes the access level functionality for locations
that do not want to be hassled by operator logins.
- Example - Setting the
startup login permission to "login" only
forces a user to always login in order
to use the test system.
- Private accounts. Private accounts will
not show up in the login dialog.
- Pressing the F8 Function Key will allow the
operator login and logout
- For system security
the Menu function availability and
in-place editing is disabled if the
access level for the current user is
incorrect.
