Engine Test Systems

COMPTEK has supplied over 150 Engine Test Data Acquisition and Control systems.   More than 7 million engines worldwide have been tested on our systems.  Many of systems were designed specifically for major engine manufacturers and their Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers as proprietary designs.  Comptek supplies both Test Software and Test Instrumentation and Control equipment.

PRODUCTION TESTING  - Fully automated, semi automatic and manual test cells.  Provided typically as part of the assembly process. In fully automated test cells, COMPTEK test systems automatically control the part motion into the test cell, clamp the part, engage test probes and facility fixtures, start the engine, run a test sequence, monitor safeties, determine pass/fail and archive the test data.   Learn more

QUALITY AUDIT TESTING  - Fully automated, semi automatic and manual test cells and stations.  Provided either as part of an assembly process or separate quality control facility.   Test systems may run various tests sampling data at user specified intervals, storing data for real time or post analysis. ENDURANCE AND PRODUCT TESTING  - Engine testing oriented towards running the part for extended periods of time. Test can be set up to run event or time based test procedure loops, collecting data periodically. Safeties are checked in real time. Product maintenance shutdowns can be scheduled.

ENGINE TEST SOFTWARE - Custom or configurable data acquisition & control software. Electronic Test Software ComETS is configurable specifically for engine testing. Supports Keithley, Opto22 SNAP, & IOSelect (Gantner) hardware. Drivers for other DAC product lines are available. PLC interfaces for AB, Siemens, MODBUS, others.
